1. What is PREA?
The Paso Robles Education Alliance is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to raise money to enrich Paso Robles Public School programs.
2. Is there a need for this support?
Yes. Every year our schools face new budget issues, while having greater demands placed on them. Since state mandated programs cannot be cut, many of the enrichment programs such as library, special reading, art, music, drama, and GATE are eliminated.
3. How will the money be used?
The money will allow us to initiate new programs and augment existing programs within the Paso Robles Public Schools. Grants are given directly to teachers and programs through an application process. To ensure the direct benefit to students, the distribution of funds will be monitored by the PREA Board of Directors.
4. I don't have children in school, why should I become a member?
Better schools mean better students; better students mean more thriving and productive members in our community, making Paso Robles a more desirable city in which to live and work.
5. How can I help?
By becoming a member. You can also help us grow our membership by spreading the word about PREA. We will be looking for volunteers and donations in the form of money, time, products and services.
