Paso Robles Association of REALTORS® Makes Contribution to Paso Robles Education Alliance

On September 17th the Paso Robles Association of REALTORS® presented the Paso Robles Education Alliance with a contribution in the amount of $2,170.00. The contribution is the result of this year’s inaugural fund raising event called The Great Race. 

The Great Race consisted of twelve four-person teams made up of REALTORS® and real estate industry affiliates who participated in a “scavenger hunt” type event. Teams were given clues to find the locations of eight “pit stops” around the North County. Once the teams arrived at the “pit stops” they were challenged with an activity of some kind (problem-solving, physical, etc.). Teams were awarded points based on their ability to find the pit stops and successfully complete the challenges. Each team concluded the race by performing one of their favorite songs in a karaoke competition. The event wrapped up with a hamburger barbecue and a great performance by a local band at one of our wonderful wineries. It was a lot of fun and all participants are looking forward to another successful Great Race next year.

The Paso Robles Education Alliance is a community-based organization made up of local business people, parents and educators who share an enthusiasm for promoting academic excellence in Paso Robles schools. The Alliance provides additional resources and opportunities for improving the quality of education in the local school system.
